🇮🇹 The last Italian champion

It may be hard to believe, but only two Italian drivers have won the Formula 1 World Championship since the series began in 1950. Giuseppe "Nino" Farina claimed the inaugural title in 1950, while Alberto Ascari followed with back-to-back championships for Ferrari in 1952 and 1953. Now, Italian teenager Andrea Kimi Antonelli is making history of his own. The Mercedes driver became the first driver in Formula 1 history to score his maiden four victories consecutively. This weekend in Monaco, Antonelli has the chance to become the first driver in Formula 1 history to start his winning career with five consecutive victories.

History could be made once again at the Monaco Grand Prix.
